How do you know Brewer’s Yeast does NOT contain meat products?HintLook for words that may mean “meat-free” It may contain meat products, the label doesn’t say This answer seems likely if you can’t find any other information on the label but is incorrect because the question itself says that Brewer’s Yeast does not include meat products It has pictures of fruit and vegetables and says Genuine Whole Food This is incorrect because a label can have a picture of food but that doesn’t mean the food is included in the product Tablets can’t contain meat products This was a general knowledge test, if you take fish oil tablets you will know that tablets can be created based on meat products The label states Vegetarian Formula This is correct because a product that is vegetarian cannot contain traces of meat product None Question 2.The following question relates to the image aboveQuestion. Which company would you write to if you had a complaint about the product Brewer’s Yeast?HintLook for Company names or logos Genuine Whole Food this answer is incorrect because it has a picture at the top middle but it’s not large or significant enough and it doesn’t have an incorporated “C” so it can trick many students GMP this answer is incorrect because this is a logo in the bottom corner and looks like it could be a company logo but it doesn’t have the incorporated “C” and doesn’t say ‘manufactured by”) NOW foods This is the correct answer for two reasons; firstly, the NOW logo is placed in the top centre of the label showing it is significant. Secondly, on the left hand side of the label, just above the bar-code it states “Manufactured by NOW Foods” which makes clear who you would need to address your complaint to Brewer’s Yeast Co this answer is incorrect because the name of a product isn’t usually the name of the company that produces it, for example; you wouldn't write to Cheeseburger to complain about a McDonald's cheeseburger product even though it says " cheeseburger" on the packaging. You have to look for logos or other indicators instead None Question 3.The following question relates to the screen capture of a map aboveQuestion. How far away is Canning Vale from the Perth CBD?HintLook for numbers and distances A 20 minute drive is incorrect because it is not specific enough The map doesn’t have the distance included on it this answer seems likely but this forces you to focus on the map but the answer isn't actually included here 25.5 km squared this number is included in the bottom left corner of the information under “Area:” The area however, can’t give you distance to a specific place 20 kms this answer is placed in the text under “Quick facts” on the left hand side where it specifically states that “Canning Vale is 20 kms away from the Perth CBD. How many locations can you purchase food from in the area indicated?HintLook for symbols and names of food places The map doesn’t tell you where food places are located this is the correct answer as there are seven “knife and fork” symbols on the map with the business names listed 7 locations this is the correct answer as there are seven “knife and fork” symbols on the map with the business names listed Subway, KFC, McDonald’s and Eagle Boys the question asks for “how many” so you need to have a number or quantity and a list of places cannot be the correct answer. This list is also incomplete which is another reason it is incorrect More than 20 there is no information on the map to indicate there are more than 20 food outlets so it has to be the incorrect answer even though the shopping centre itself has much more than 20 food outlets contained in it None Question 5.The following question relates to the screen capture of a map aboveQuestion. If you wanted to find more information about Work Health and Safety, where would you find it?HintLook for contact information on the document You could contact your work health and safety team for advice this answer is actually correct but isn't the only correct answer and people who don’t read the other options will click it and get it wrong You could call 1800 811 523 this information is included at the bottom right box but doesn't give you all the options You could access the website in the yellow box at the bottom right corner of the document this answer identifies the box you needed to check for information but you can see there are other options available All of the above this answer is the most correct because it gives you all of the options for seeking information in the document not just one None Question 7.The following question relates to the workplace document above titled; “Work Health and Safety Policy Summary”Question. Which organisation created this poster?HintLook for company logos, names or stamps WHS Policy Board this specific organisation is not included anywhere on the poster Michelle Burges this is an individual and not an “organisation” as the question asks and we don't know if she created, we just know that she signed off on the information in it The NSW government this is the correct answer as you can see the words NSW Government and their logo in the top left hand corner of the document All of the above in this case option b) is incorrect and option a) does not appear on the document so “all of the above” cannot apply None Question 8.The following question relates to the workplace document above titled; “Work Health and Safety Policy Summary”Question. If you are a Manager, how would you find the information that is most relevant to you?HintLook through the subheadings for key words in the question The information is in the Overview of Policy Statement there is no information specific to Managers in this information box so it is incorrect You could ask Michelle Burges while you definitely could ask the Secretary and I’m sure she would know this information, the information is actually included in the document Read the box titled “Responsibilities- Senior Managers and Managers are to take action to ensure:” This is the correct answer as it includes dot point information about all the information relevant to a “manager” Read the box titled “Responsibilities- Employees and Others Undertaking Work Are To:” This information box relates to all employees and not specifically managers None Question 9.The following question relates to the image of a cartoon aboveQuestion. What is the purpose of this text?HintConsider why you would read a cartoon and then think about why this would be dealing with a serious issue To show how lazy workers can be this answer is incorrect because it is targeted at leaders taking action To entertain people in the workforce this answer is incorrect because this cartoon has been created to raise an important concern not just entertain To inform workers that their lives are in danger this answer is incorrect because the cartoon targets leaders and not any worker To inspire leaders to take responsibility for their workers this answer is correct because the leader is targeted to make changes for the good of the other employees around him/her None Time's up Submit a CommentYour email address will not be published.
